Most examples have cracked keys that disturb the aesthetics of the micrometer. I have made replacement black plastic parts for the purpose of replacing these broken keys in your nice micrometer. These are a press fit on the spindle boss. Instructions are included. This is NOT a Brown and Sharpe OEM part. BE AWARE: Testing has been done on Brown and Sharpe inch measuring Digit Mike branded micrometers. You can see lots of examples on eBay. I have not tested (or even know) if Brown and Sharpe made metric versions of these micrometers. These fit over the micrometer body that measures 0.625."
