This specimen has lustre typical of high-end extremely fine and low-end almost uncirculated pieces, with nearly-but-not-quite semi-prooflike obverse and a semi-prooflike reverse, from dies that were not quite matched or wore differently during minting -- back in 1896! We always recommend to look hard at acquiring a high EF or AU to forego paying the higher price of Mint State, if you don't think you'll look at the now-filled gap in your collection often enough to notice so much.
