You can be confidant you are receiving a true and accurately attributed doubled die as I am an official attributer of doubled dies for John Wexler. Proof doubled dies are much rarer than business strikes. At most there maybe 2000-3000 minted before the dies break, while on a business strike, like the famous 1955 doubled die, there were probably over 500,000 minted before the die was replaced.
