Here is a new product from Convertible Top Specialists, this is a complete rebuild kit for the convertible top side rail on your 1965-70 Cadillac DeVille, Eldorado or Fleetwood Eldorado. This is an 18 piece kit manufactured on CNC equipment, it contains all of the bushings, wave washers, proper thin nuts and all new bolts required to rebuild 1 side rail, this kit replaces the joints that are assembled using bolts, it does not replace the parts that are riveted together. Convertible Top Specialists has tested this kit in many convertible top frames, we have a test fixture we use that continually opens and closes the top frame and after 40 hours of continuous use the bushings still look like new. The convertible top frames came from the factory with plastic bushings that wear quickly, we replace them with SAE 660 oil impregnated bronze bushings that will last a lot longer and will give a much smoother operation. If you are going to go through all the time and money to restore your car you can now restore your convertible top frame to better than new condition. This kit includes a detailed installation manual with lots of pictures to help for an easy hassle free installation.
