This listing is for an unusual Dutch Silver pierced blade fish slice/server, c. 1840. This nice silver fish slice has a heavy slice end with wide pierced design in the center with a wide handle with vertical incised lines. Measures 12 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide (at widest). Weighs 124 grams. Marked with numerous Dutch hallmarks including the lion passant stamp indicating 2nd quality silver (minimum of .833 silver) with date stamp for 1840. There is also a hallmark punch stamp at the center top on the front of the handle with another punch stamp above on the "stem". This beautiful fish slice is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage and reflecting only minor signs of normal use.
