This is not just a Splitter with 3 jacks, this is a 2-line Separator. In addition, it has reconfigured the Line 2 wires to the center 2 pins so you can use it with 1-line devices. Uses standard Phone Cords. Now you can expand your 2-Line capabilities. Plug this into your 2-Line wall jack and it gives you L1 for Line 1, L2 for Line 2 and L1+L2 which is the same as the original combined Line 1 and Line 2 jack. Connect a phone, fax, modem or any normal 1-line device to either Line 1 or Line 2 or both land still have your 2-line phone plugged in as well. The Separator 3 is made with Gold plated pins and quality construction. A most ingenious invention.
