In most cases the previous touch sensor has permanent wire nuts, cut the wires to remove them and strip back to the raw copper wire (If they are removable wire nuts twist counter clockwise to remove, and the new orange wire nuts will turn clockwise for new wire connections) on both the wires from the plug and the wires from the lamp.
