Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Archival DVD – 36 WW2 RAF/RCAF BCATP Training Periodicals DVD As used by RCAF/RAF/RAAF airmen Compiled onto a DVD is a scanned version of a selection of 36 Training Periodicals that that were used by airmen and instructors during the war. Airmen and aircrew throughout there entire training as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan or service throughout the war, would have had access to these manuals, either in their initial training (ITS) or through the different EFTS, SFTS, B&G and AOS schools. Most of the pamphlets are Canadian Printed for the Royal Canadian Air Force (R.C.A.F.) but some are British Air Ministry published for the Royal Air Force. These would have also been referenced and used by airmen of the rest of the commonwealth, Australia (RAAF), New Zeeland (RNZAF) etc. The extensive list includes Air Crew Training Bulletin No.11 No.16 No.19 No.22 No.23 Armament Training Circular No.12 No.13 No.24 Flying Training Circular No.10 No.14 No.21 Mentioned in Despatches 1943.01 1943.06 1943.07 1943.08 1943.09 1943.10 1943.11 1943.12 1944.03 1944.09 Radio Training Circular No.01 No.02 No.03 No.04 No.05 No.06 No.07 No.08 No.09 No.10 No.11 No.12 Training Review No.01 No.02 No.04 The “Mentioned in Despatches” are of peculiar note, as they are not what you would expect a mention in dispatches (MiD) would be. Instead of being a record of great acts done, these note some more of the stupid things airmen in training may have done. Names are not mentioned, so it is hard to say if they are real, but it comments on some of the stupid actions in training did that sometimes resulted in them dying. It is a stark reminder of the important of following rules regulations and procedures when it comes to flying as the result maybe otherwise deadly. All pages have been professionally scanned from the originals that I have tracked down. They have been digitally rotated cropped, and saved as JPG format for easy viewing. MOST of the scans have been monochromed for ease in viewing or printing should you wish to do that. As I am a collector of these manuals, I am always looking for more.
