Would work on 2.5" to 5.0" vent tube on a bass reflex (ported type) enclosures to keep stuff out of your box! This listing is for a pair (2pc) of 5" speaker grill protectors. They are made of approximately .8 mm thick steel mesh. They have a fairly narrow rubber edge that provides clearance around the speaker surround/edge for extra clearance. This also helps reduce vibrations and facilitates the use of a mounting bracket to retain it on the face of your speaker. This rubber/vinyl edge is a nice feature allowing more clearance than on some of our other grills. Depending on your woofer or mid-range driver this little extra space may be helpful. The measurement of the grill is approximately 5.0"-5-1/8" OD - outside diameter and measures about 4.25 -4.5" to the inside of the rubber edge, so the rubber edge is approximately 1/4" to 3/8" wide and may vary depending on what they ship to us.
