Check the listing for details. A 72" x 33" beautiful stained glass panel from 1909. Listed at 29500.00 USD. The stained glass was located in the Mitla Restaurant which was built in 1909within the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The stained glass window was made by the artist Mr. Will S. Taylor who was a mural painter-in-residence at the museum (see photo). It represents mythological designs taken from the Codex Magliabecciano XIII, 3.The window measures 72" x 33". I have received complaints that this window is a fake. Indeed it is not. Sometime in the eighties I found it in the storage level of the American Museum of Natural History. The curator of Mexican anthropology, Dr. Gordon F. Ekholm, let me have it. (He cannot testify today as he passed away in 1987).It was written up in the American Museum Journal v.10(4), parts of which I present. My photos are with a back light, whereas the one in the restaurant was not. Imagine this window with back lighting, greeting your visitors as they enter your home.Stunningly different, with a unique history.
