Check the listing for details. ADXL190 100g accelerometer (with simple Arduino-friendly interface) - USA seller. Condition: New. Listed at 21.99 USD. *** US Seller - Get your parts in days, not weeks *** Analog Devices ADXL190WQC (quantity 1) New parts, still in the anti-static packaging. We paid $53 each for these, and it looks like the well has dried up - they've officially become 'unobtanium'. Low-g accelerometers are a dime a dozen, but what about when you need to measure higher acceleration? The ADXL190 measures +/- 100g, and unlike other parts that rely on complicated I2C/SPI type interfaces, is ridiculously easy to interface to a microcontroller such as an Arduino, Basic Stamp, etc. And the fact that it's a 5V part makes it just that much easier to work with. No external parts are necessary, except for your standard decoupling cap. There are lots of sample projects available online, including multiple designs for DIY rocket altimeters. Strap one to a dummy and do your own Mythbusters type crash testing. ;-) Don't be intimidated by all of those pins. As you'll see in the datasheet, most of them aren't connected to anything. In practice you'll simply add power and ground, then connect the voltage-out pin to your microcontroller's ADC. Read the ouput voltage (18mV per g) and do some simple math to convert to acceleration. It's that easy. We ordered more than we needed - our loss is your gain. We have very few left, and once they're gone, there won't be any more available in the future. Coin not included, of course. ;-) NOTE: All orders are packed at our ESD station using proper anti-static packaging materials. And yes, we are more than happy to combine orders, keeping your shipping costs as low as possible. Description: The ADXL190 is a complete acceleration measurement system on a single monolithic IC. It contains a polysilicon surface micromachined sensor and signal conditioning circuitry to implement an open-loop acceleration measurement architecture. The ADXL190 is capable of measuring both positive and negative accelerations up to ±100 g, making it suitable for shock and vibration measurement. No external components other than a decoupling capacitor are required.
