SPECIFICATIONS꞉ This switch is rated for 4-amps at 125 VAC / 2-amps at 250 VAC. This key switch utilizes higher-security ten-pin dimple keys (these keys are extremely difficult to get duplicated). This key switch is typically used with security systems, alarm panels and garage door openers (although it can be used for many other applications). The "contact" configuration for this key switch is SPST. Wire attachment is by crimp-type push-on spade terminal attachment at the rear of the switch. In fact, we've even include two crimp-style “spade connectors” to save you a trip to the store. This key switch is spring loaded (i.e. it is NOT maintained, it is momentary). The key will come out in one position: OFF. The key rotates approximately 80-degrees clockwise and is then spring-returned. Mounting is by the included retaining nut. The heavy-duty trim ring may or may not be installed (it is removable so it's your choice). This key switch mounts in the industry-standard single-D or double-D 3/4" hole. DIMENSIONS and WEIGHT꞉ The key switch measures approximately 2.00" from the lock's face to the end of the 0.25" spade tabs. The threaded cylinder measures 0.74" across its threads and measures 0.655" across between the flat sides. The face measures 0.79" across; the retaining nut measures 0.865" across (between its flat sides) and the included trim ring measures 0.99" across. With the trim ring affixed, the usable threads are approximately 0.88". The key switch, keys, spade connectors, trim ring and retaining nut weigh 3.0 ounces (85 grams). KEY SWITCH USES꞉ As this key switch is momentary (when you insert the key and turn it the contacts go from normally-open to normally-closed and the spring returns the key back to normally-open) it makes it ideal for many alarm systems, resetting control panels, activating an overhead door opener (so that the kids or visitors can open your garage door), pulsing a relay on or off, acting as a "coin deposit" switch on vending machines, resetting building automation equipment, tripping a door's electric strike to gain access, etc. CONDITION꞉ New.
