No chips no cracks. Hinge on lid is great working condition no bends or dents. I have not polished. Just a very light cleaning to get some of the tarnish off so the 800 and numbers could be read. The handle lid is solid 800 silver. Late 1800’s. For this old of a piece I would say it is in excellent condition. Scrolled detail on the handle and lid as well I think the maker is Koch & Beegfeld I would have to polish the area more to be for sure though. Germany. As I get more information I will be adjusting the price. This is an antique and some sell for thousands of dollars. There must be a signature for this once shipped
