The Frederick hart and co tabulating machine was invented to help speed up the process of tabulating the us census. This company later became IBM. This tabulating machine is widely known as one of the first computers widely used. This particular model appears to have been used by a train company as there is some writing on the box that would indicate that. It has a stamped serial number of 15234 and also has a stamp on the side of 350. It comes in the original wooden box and is all I excellent condition.
