We offer full Antique Mortise restoration and repair.For 75.00 we do a complete restoration Inside and out of your Mortise no matter the size. Once you purchase the repair just ship us your lock and within 8 days you will receive your mortise fully restored. The process We will first place your lock in a reverse Electrolysis tank for 2 days minimum to allow all the paint and rust to come loose. We then submerge your lock in a high frequency sonic cleaning bath to finish off any unwanted rust or paint. We will then photo and disassemble your lock and proceed to hand clean each individual part, clean and condition the inside of the lock body and re-enamel the background of your lock if you like.We will apply a classic patina on the brass. We then reassemble the lock replacing any springs with new tempered spring steel. The case and moving parts are then oiled for smooth operation and rust prevention, then your lock is returned to you via USPS or FedEx, your choice.
