For those unfamiliar, bootscrapers were once a common item mounted outside your front door and used, as the name implies, to scrape mud and manure of of your boots before entering the home. This item is complete and in very good condition, although appears to have been painted in the common black color at one time. Virtually no oxidation. Still a functional item, but just as cool as a rustic, decorative piece inside or out. Currently mounted on a very aged and distressed, yet solid, railroad tie, it is secure and heavy enough as is to sit perfectly anywhere, and be used if that is your intention.
