I offer for your consideration this wonderful antique handmade copper pitcher. This vessel, with a very sleek designed spout and handle, was hammered out of copper. The base measures approx. 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The height is 13 3/4 inches. The spout hole is 3/4 X 1/2 inch diameter. The top filler hole is 2 inches in diameter. This looks identical to a pitcher I found online which was made by an Iranian artist back in the 18th century. It was the exact size and shape, and the star indented pattern was very similar. The condition, as pictured, is good considering the age. One picture shows a small crack in the filler spout seem and the top of the base. This beautiful piece has a nice primitive look with a little patina. This would be a nice piece of museum quality for any collection of middle eastern antiquity, art, or primitive copper.
