Check the listing for details. AS-IS Small Portable Field Microscope Unmarked Vtg Antique. Listed at 224.99 USD. AS-IS Small Portable Field Microscope Unmarked Vtg Antique --- Stands about 10.5" tall. --- Missing reflecting mirror. --- Slide platform has bubbles (it looks like it could be between a top and bottom glass layer, I thought it was from maybe a clear plastic film on top but it appears to be "inside"). --- I see evidence this may have been repainted. --- Looking at the optics externally I can see there is a dust coating behind both front and bottom elements (heavy on the bottom element), I assume there is other internal dust, maybe haze and/or fungus. --- It does focus and produces a sharp image, there are specs in the view and I would assume some contrast and brightness are compromised because of the dust and other internal debris/conditions. --- I don't know the magnification. Appears to focus in the range where the slide platform is around 1/2" from the bottom element. It focuses smoothly with no slipping or scraping. The focus travel doesn't change the focus range in regards to the slide platform distance (it does a little bit but not more than a fraction of an inch). --- I viewed a Lincoln penny through the scope, the date took up about 1/2 of the width of the view (not the height, just the width of the 4 digit year). --- The only markings I found are on the two tightening screws at the pivot of the main post (see photos, they look like part numbers). --- The main scope assembly is about 4.25" long and 1.5" in diameter. The outer covering is some kind of leather or textured material (in some photos there is a light reflection that make it look dented, no denting, there is some "indenting" to the covering like from rubbing etc). --- The slide platform raises and lowers by sliding on the 4 vertical posts (one is bent), then secured with the two rear screws. --- The main scope shaft has a pivot as shown allowing the head to rotate backwards to level, the head itself also has a swivel where it mounts to the shaft (it can rotate as well, that pivot doesn't have a set screw but seems to hold position when rotated side to side although it does move easily if touched etc). --- My assumption is the design allows the user to hold items in front of the scope rather than placing on the slide platform. --- The square metal base is abput 3.5" wide and just under 3.75" front to back. The mirror bracket is 2" wide on the inside. Paint finish has signs of rust and oxidation. --- See photos for condition details. --- Will be well packed --- See shipping options above --- Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time). --- The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated. --- I don't have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I'm sorry for the inconvenience
