Asprey are known as the Royal jewelers. They were first granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1862. Art Deco style angled edges. Engine-turned finish with silver gilt interior. Full set of silver hallmarks from the London assay office for 1936. 1936 was the coronation year of King George VI and Elizabeth (the late Queen Mother). The hallmark has an extra stamp detailing the Royal Cypher to commemorate the occasion. The interior is engraved 'Selham House 1937-1938'. Selham House is an English country house located in the Sussex Downs in Petworth, West Sussex. Signs of use commensurate with age but in very good condition. Great for cigarillos or roll-ups...
