Fits completely inside our BeagleBone Black enclosure (sold separately), giving a nicely packaged solution for a BeagleBone with an integrated serial port. This micro cape leaves all P8 and most of P9 I/O pins available for other applications. SPBB-232 micro-cape is configured as a DTE (Device Terminal Equipment) similar to a standard PC. The DB9-male pin-2 is an input to the BeagleBone (RxD). The DB9-male pin-3 is an output (TxD). This "micro-cape" is similar to the Logic Supply obsolete "micro TTL-RS232", part CBB-TTL-232, but does not require soldering to change the UART selection. Instead, there are slide switches, making installation extremely easy.
