Blue goldstone, also known as blue sandstone, is a gorgeous stone with properties similar to obsidian-glass. Its deep blue color mimics the night sky with shining copper “stars” sparkling through. Because its composition is similar to glass, it makes great jewelry for sensitive skin. It’s non-porous nature also makes it great to wear as it will not house bacteria, which also makes cleaning your earrings easier. The size and density of the copper sparkles can range from a sort of glaze-looking shimmer to a stark contrast between large sparkles and dark background. Occasionally, there may be areas without copper sparkles, or small air pockets. Outside of direct light, blue goldstone can even look black, but the intense blue color and shine are sure to pop in the sun. Blue goldstone is associated with the Throat and Third Eye chakras, making it a great stone for encouraging guidance and authenticity. The stone is also believed to promote restfulness and healing. It is thought to be highly grounding, making it calming and soothing, so it may help ease stress, anxiety, and restlessness. To charge your blue goldstone, cleanse it with sage and leave it in direct sun or moonlight for about 2 hours. Alternatively, after cleansing with sage, it may be charged by contact with selenite, clear quartz, or amethyst overnight, preferably in a closed container These blue goldstone plugs come in a pair, and are double-flared, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. If you have recently stretched, you may find you need to wait some time before wearing double flared plugs or tunnels. A good time to switch is in the shower or bath, preferably lubricated with coconut oil, jojoba oil, or vitamin E oil. This will help ensure that your ears stay healthy and happy. At larger sizes you may find that fitting into double flared plugs or tunnels is much easier, and may even find that your ears will naturally stretch with the heaviness of the stone. If you are not trying to size up, you might find it helpful to alternate wear with silicone jewelry/tunnels, or leave your earrings out overnight if your earrings become too loose.
