The Cambodia 1,000 Riels Banknote was issued by the National Bank of Cambodia in 1995. This green banknote bears Khmer text and was printed by Fancois-Charles Oberthur. Its obverse features a face sculpture of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. The reverse displays the Moonlight Pavilion (Preah Thineang Chan Chhaya) of the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. The note contains a solid security thread printed with BANQUE NATIONALE DE CAMBODGE. Its watermark reflects cubes. The note is 128 x 67 mm in size and is signed by Governor Thor Peng Leath and General Cashier Tieng Seng. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
