Note that our chevrons are made from custom woven vertical ribbed silk tape, which was a carry over from an earlier period. In addition, our chevrons are folded over the edges, as per the original. While I do not doubt that raw edged chevrons may have existed, I have yet to find one that was arsenal or contractor produced.
