This is a footed Silver Plate clamshell dish could be used for a dip dish or a nut or candy dish. It's about 8 in long and 5 1/2 in tall and sits up about an inch and a half on its feet. It does have some minor scratches and on the bottom side a minor dent that is not very noticeable when it's in use. I did not see any brand markings
