Featured on its obverse is Spanish priest Jose Celestino Mutis who played a significant role in the Spanish American Enlightenment. The obverse also displays a church. The reverse of the paper bill depicts the bank seal that portrays Liberty. It also features a document, the coat of arms of Colombia, and the Cloister of the College of Our Lady of the Rosary.
