Brought back from having PSU capacitor failure, this is now a functioning example of a Compac Portable III, with integrated Gas-Tube display, period-correct Hard Drive, and fully functional keyboard, booting into FreeDos. The Disk Drive dode not function, but a USB Floppy emulator will interface with the system, and, while I personally would not have chosen orange, the display is clear, with minimal fade, and good refresh. Keyboard has been rewired and rewound.
