CSA#12c (AD) 10¢ Greenish Blue (4-margins, full to close at right) on oatmeal cover tied by a clear strike of the blue PETERSBURG, Va. CDS MAR 8 (1864) addressed to Capt. W.B. Ragan, Atlanta, Ga. Earliest recorded usage of CSA #12 AD is May 1, 1863. Atlanta was under Union occupation in 1865 which dates this cover as 1864 usage. I am not able to positively identify Capt. Ragan from the military records.
