Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter and raised lettering on both sides and gold plated with a reeded edge. Reverse side has St. Michael the Protector, Patron Saint of Law Enforcement. Coin is contained in an air tight holder. The Connecticut State Police (CSP) is a division of the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection responsible for traffic regulation and law enforcement across the state of Connecticut, especially in areas not served by (or served by smaller) local police departments. The CSP currently has approximately 1,248 troopers, and is headquartered in Middletown, Connecticut. It is responsible for protecting the Governor of Connecticut, Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut, and their families.
