It's a new design, designed last year, made this year and is a brand new product. All FET design, containing components best suited for audio rather than general purpose. New hybrid polymer ultra long life caps are used for a very long life span. HYPER preamp is boost and cut circuitry, capable of delivering fat and very transparent non coloring sound. Has few unique features that none of the existing brands onboard preamps have: - BASS with adjustable center frequency anywhere from 20Hz to 60Hz, 20dB of boost/cut - TREBLE with adjustable center frequency from 7kHz to 10kHz, 20dB of boost/cut - CLARITY pot that can make your bass pop in busy tunes, great for cutting through and makes your bass sound brighter and more open overall. This one is hard to explain, you'll need to hear it - Adjustable gain from 1 to 20x.
