Its sound and strength is the same as the unbleached, but the unbleached rawhide is more malleable when wet. You will be able to cut two 18-inch drum circles from one bleached select rawhide. There may be holes and other defects on the hide but they should not interfere with the drum circles. They are sold by the hide.
