The show was created by legendary comedy writer Sam Denoff (Dick Van Dyke Show, That Girl, Happy Days, and many more). Denoff wrote this script which was owned by character actor Allan Melvin. A classic character actor, Melvin is also known for his roles on The Brady Bunch (Sam the Butcher), Gomer Pyle (Sgt Hacker), The Phil Silvers Show (Corporal Henshaw), The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and many more. He was also the voice of Magilla Gorilla and many other Hanna-Barbera characters. The story: Due to a snafu from the army, Don (Rickles) is called into the military. But when he goes down to clear up what is obviously a mistake he is exasperated to have to through the entire induction process. The cover is green and the interior pages are pink.
