This drip acclimator makes adding any fish, shrimp, or snail (especially the sensitive one’s) a much easier option and it is healthier for the aquatic animal. The way in which we introduce them to our tanks is extremely important to their livelihood. This tool takes the guess work and errors out of the process. When your fish arrives, add it and all of the water packaged in its traveling bag to a small container or bucket. Next hang the Drip Acclimator on the rim of your aquarium. Start a siphon by opening the valve and dipping the tube into the water until full of water, then close the valve and place the valve end into the bucket. Now slowly open the valve until water drips about one drop per second into the bucket. The process is finished after you have at least doubled the amount of water in the container/bucket…but preferably more. I typically allow the acclimation period last for an hour. Make sure to use a container that can hold at least double the water from the fish bag and keep your eye on it so it doesn’t over flow if you doze off for a nap ;) The clamp for the bucket can range in colors green/blue/yellow/black/red/purple
