The 5 Egyptian pound note is dated 16 February 2013 and signed by Hisham Ramez Abdel Hafez. It is a slate blue, green, yellow, and orange note that measures 145 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the Ahmad Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo. Its reverse side features the bas relief scenes of agriculture, a Nile god holding an offering table with lotus and papyrus flowers, and fishing from the Ptolemaic Temple.
