This uncirculated 50 Pounds Egyptian note is a replacement banknote issued by the Central Bank of Egypt. It is a black, brown, blue, and purple note that is dated 2007, bears the signature of Farouk Abd El Baky El Okda, and measures 160 x 70 mm. Its obverse side features the Eye of Horus as a registration device and the Amir Qijmas al Ishaqi mosque in Cairo. Its reverse side shows a pharaonic boat, a winged sun disc with snakes, the tops of architectural columns at Edfu Temple, a winged scarab pushing a sun disc, and the Eye of Horus. Security features include a 3-mm wide windowed thread with demetalized 50 and FIFTY POUNDS in Arabic text, and a watermark of King Akhenaten and an electrotype 50.
