This listing is for a lovely antique English Sterling Silver cigarette case, c. 1917. The silver body has a sleek smooth finish with curved edges with rounded corners. Case is engraved with fancy 3-letter monogram "G R C" in the center of one side. The interior has a gilded finish with two elastic straps to hold cigarettes in place. Marked with English hallmarks for Birmingham, Sterling, date code for 117 and maker's trademark stamp for John Rose. The case has a tight hinge and opens and closes correctly. Measures 3 3/8" long almost 2 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep. Weighs 85 grams. This nice cigarette case is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. The exterior surface does reflect minor no-harm signs of normal wear. International buyers are welcome, however, as sellers we have no control over random Customs inspections.
