It is a rare Mesodma Multituberculate Tooth from the Cretaceous of Wyoming. This fine specimen was acquired from a MAJOR fossil collection. These insectivor mammals lived at the same time as the dinosaurs! Most were the size of a mouse or rat, and looked similar, but quite strange - they are not very closely related to other mammals. This distinct tooth is an excellent molar, very well preserved and easily seen in the photograph. The fossil comes with its own custom-made display board and case (pictured).
