Check the listing for details. fireplace screen, antique. Color: Black. Listed at 454.00 USD. This fireplace screen dates from the 18th century, probably British. The Asian scene on the front depicts a man wearing red hat and robe in the lower right quadrant, European conception of Asian pagodas on left as well as top right, plus a bird flying near the center, 13-3/4"h x 15-3/4"w. The entirety was painted by "japanning" technique. Note the 2 original brass mounting rings on the back, one including the curved pressure sleeve and tightening screw disc. The wood brace for this mount has been broken and repaired. This panel came to us for sale without the pole stand, which was demolished. The mounting wood brace with the two brass components can be easily unscrewed so that the panel can be hung on a wall or framed and then hung.
