After extensive investigation, I purchased this banjo this banjo in 2008 off the internet from Beyond Guitars in Concord Calif. I determined that this instrument had the best sound for the price.This was exhibited by a sound recording of the very same instrument, demonstrated by the banjo teacher at the store. I have basic banjo skills and several books on how to play. Enough to invent a banjo track to support a banjo track in the recording studio... The Flinthill tone BH 300 is excellent , it has a 20 hole cast /bell bronze tone ring .It has a nice looking orange sun bust mahogany resonator and a very playable neck. The instrument has only a couple of blemishes modest signs of playable usage, but the instrument eccentually looks brand new.... Please check out the photos! There is a slight flaw on the 12th fret, a square inlay, that appears to be depressed slightly deeper on the fret, but not enough to effect the sound or playability of the instrument. I love the sound of this banjo, but feel it needs to go to the hands of a more enthusiastic player. This is a real good sounding banjo for an intermediate to advanced player. It's a good looking very playable banjo, that comes with a nice and clean hardshell case and banjo strap.
