Measuring along longest edge approximately 6.5cm 13grams. you will receive actual piece shown in pictures, in plastic glass fronted display case which will freestand. Elephant birds were members of the extinct family Aepyornithid. Made up from a group of flightless birds that lived on Madagascar. They became extinct 1200-1000 years ago. They would have grown to up to 3m tall and weigh 750kg. Elephant bird eggs weighed around 22 pounds with a fluid content of about two gallons and was 13 inches long, and this is reported as the largest egg ever laid by an animal.
