On fairly tattered paper, four embroidery motifs for hand cross-stitch and other traditional hand stitches. These two sheets of instructions originally accompanied brightly colored linen fingertip towels. They were sold in department stores and Five and Dimes, first 1/2 of 20th C. My great aunt had these stashed away and I have had them since the 70 s. I tried making them as a teen, but was not skilled at the tiny stitches! They were NOT pretty. I was able to pick out my clumsy stitches and save the towels, but I embroidered those by machine!
