This version of the lens is set up for Sony cameras in that it incorporates the dual hot shoe feature which puts lens status in the viewfinder or on a monitor. This is a standard middle-of-the-road lens that offers a medium wide angle-of-view, maximum angle is at 7.3 mm is about 47°. The 16 x zoom results in a very narrow view. At 117 mm, a horizontal angle of just over 3° is a very tight scene. This lens is designed to be used with 1/2" CCD single or three-chip cameras. Video Conferencing Remote Control With the use of any of the Fujinon remote control units, the S16X7.3BMD can fit a remotely controlled and monitored CCTV pan-and-tilt system. This lens is particularly suited for 3-CCD Sony industrial cameras because it has a bayonet mount with the dual hot-shoe feature. This feature sends lens status, zoom and iris information to a viewfinder or a monitor within the CCTV system.
