Excellent WW2 German Luftwaffe Flight Technical Personnel Trade Patch, Badge. This is an excellent and early example of this scarce trade patch of the standard blue grey Luftwaffe material! This patch would have been mostly worn by ground crews who kept the planes flying doing routine maintenance, fixing battle damage, tweaking issues pilots were having and keep all the weapons systems/ aircraft systems in working order. This was a very important job in the Luftwaffe because they needed to scramble planes constantly during allied bombing to keep the planes from being targeted on he ground and also to keep attacking the never ending stream of bombing raids! These patches are rough to find and this is a very nice example w a been there feel. These would have been worn on the lower arm of the Luftwaffe Uniforms or Great coats! This trade patch was used from around 1935-1936 through the end of the war in 1945. Largely a short lived patch as all 3rd reich insignia. This came from a large ww2 bring back grouping of mostly Luftwaffe patches, some Wehrmacht and Kriegsmarine was also included sadly not named!
