These parts are meant to be attached to the backside of the cleaner where the Sweep Tail can perform its task of agitating dirt and debris from trouble areas the cleaner is not able to reach. The parts are Gray to match the color scheme of the Hose Kit and has a smaller attach point (for the Sweep Tail) with a nozzle so that way the water flow to this tail can be adjusted accordingly.
