Heathkit HD-1250 'Re-Silkscreen' This is a set of labels intended to replace the printing on your HD-1250 Solid State Dip Meter. These kits suffered from a very common problem of the breakdown of the vinyl foam that was installed on the top cover. When this vinyl broke down, it would release a chemical that would act as a mild paint remover which typically softened the silk screening on the meter. The silkscreening would then eventually wear off with use. This label set is intended to replace that silk screening. You can see in the picture my HD-1250 'Before' and 'After' picture.Lables are printed (in reverse) on a flexible Dry Transfer material. These are NOT decals or 'water slides' but true 'Dry Transfer' labels that can be pressed onto the top of the HD-1250. Simply clean off any remaining silkscreening with some Naptha, dry transfer the labels, then spray one coat of 'clear coat' and they will be good as new. This auction is for the labels only.
