This model was intended for civilians, and thus used the AH-filters (sardine can filters) so an invading force couldn't use their filters. The filters were slotted into a socket, and attached with a rubber band. These masks were made from PVC and Vinyl, and were revolutionary for their time. They were cheap to produce, comfortable, and had huge panoramic visors. They were however susceptible to damage from the elements, like tanning or scratching. This one has a pamphlet for the 40mm conversion, but has not been converted and is missing its filters.
