Renaissance Revival silver plate asparagus server, made by Henniger & Co. of Berlin, Germany *, circa 1880-1900. The Revivalist design is very exuberant, decorated on both front and back and featuring the head of a beast on the tip of the handle. 10 3/8” (26.4cm) long, 3 3/4” (9.5cm) wide. * Henniger & Co. was established in 1824 in Berlin, Germany to research silver plating and silver appearing alloys. In 1842 Henniger was the first factory in central Europe to buy a license and use the electroplating process.
