The knob turns freely until you push it in and then it locks to turn the shaft. This prevents accidentally turning your control until you push the knob. They are manufactured by ALCO , and the part number is KNSL 900A1/4. The skirt is 1.44 inch diameter, the body is 0.93 inch diameter and the height is 0.75 inch.
