Check the listing for details. IEC 62196 Active Vehicle Control Board, AVC2-CE. Condition: New. Listed at 39.99 USD. This is small circuit in a box, AVC2-CE, to monitor and control the pilot signal from an IEC 62196 Inlet connector in the car. It does the control needed to tell the EVSE (charging station) the car is connected and when the connector is fully latched it request electrical power. It has a circuit to monitor the proximity pin in the IEC 62196 connector that indicates if the connector is latched and indicates the cable current rating. This helps sequence the power so it is always fully off when the connector is mated or disconnected. Also, it provides a relay contact indicating the connector is latched that can be used to inhibit motion while charging or control a led to indicate charging. It is CE and RoHS marked. The AVC2-CE is for vehicle inlet connectors that use the IEC 62196 system. The IEC 62196 system is used in Europe and Australia. It most identifiable feature is the user brings the cable that plugs into the EVSE and the car. The cables have different current ratings and this module accepts all standard cable ratings. This module does not interpret the current rating or any of the digital signals. This is not compatible with J1772 used in North America. This module in not an EVSE or a charger, it will NOT charge your car. It is a module used in a car that is being converted to electric operation.
