Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter and raised lettering on both sides and gold plated with a reeded edge. Reverse side has St. Michael the Protector, Patron Saint of Law Enforcement. Coin is contained in an air tight holder.The Illinois State Police (ISP) is the state police force of Illinois. Officially established in 1922, the Illinois State Police have over 3,000 personnel and 21 districts.
