This formula is specifically formulated to work well on Oralite solas 1404, Oralite solas 1403 adhesive and fabric backed versions, adhesive-backed Solas3, and 3M fabric solas which is available for purchase from Anytime Sign. This paint sprays on as a glossy black ( but dries as matt ) that is totally opaque (non-transparent) when looked at with the naked eye. However when it is viewed with night vision cameras or night vision goggles ( not thermal ), Magic Black paint becomes transparent allowing the equipment to see through it. Magic Black paint is transparent in Near Infrared 700-1,400 Nanometers, best used with Night Vision equipment that operates in that range. Magic Black paint does not work with thermal viewers. the image covered with Magic Black paint can be seen with Night Vision, Infrared Cameras and Scanners used in military, industrial and commercial applications.
